03/27/2020 - Coronavirus Status Update

We were saddened to learn that one of our team members at the Daikin Texas Technology Park on Kermier Road has tested positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19).  Understandably, we will not reveal the name of the affected individual for privacy reasons. Our hopes are that the individual has a speedy recovery, and we will be providing assistance in line with our company policies, practices, and core values.   

The team member is in quarantine, and we understand is being treated by medical professionals. We quickly notified the state and local Departments of Health. The affected individual worked in an area removed from the highest concentration of people. The employee reports minimal close contact with other workers, and we are in the process of contacting those who we believe were in close contact with the affected individual to instruct them to contact their health care provider and to self-quarantine in accordance with CDC guidelines.

Out of an abundance of caution while we continued to investigate the facts, we decided to close the facility.  We will have a trained unit deep clean appropriate areas in accordance with heightened disinfection procedures and government requirements. We plan to re-open as soon as we are satisfied that the deep clean and disinfection protocols are complete, as the products we manufacture, distribute and sell across North American neighborhoods, are critical to support the operation and well-being of homes and businesses during this crisis. We are proud to be part of an HVAC industry, which is so essential to our nation’s infrastructure, and we are working hard to provide whatever support is needed during this unprecedented time.

The efforts of our dedicated employees, as well as the independent contractors and service technicians that support our products, is greatly appreciated and has made a huge difference in the lives of others.

We will continue to monitor and keep watch of this challenging circumstance as we provide essential services for our customers and community.
